Week of Sept 19-23

Progress Reports go out on Thursday Sept. 22nd!

7th

ELA- We will be reading the novel Among the Hidden. All reading will be done in class. If you child is out they will need to read at home what they miss in class. Vocab for the week is....lofty, beckoned, careened, proper, shrugged, combines, resolutely..test Friday.

SS- The students made a foldable today about the Enlightenment Thinkers. They will use this to study for a quiz they will have Friday. We will read chapter 18 section 4 and have an open book quiz on Wed or Thurs.

6th

ELA- We are working on an ABC book Monday and Tuesday in class. If the students are not done on Tuesday they will have to finish the book for homework. If they work in class they should not have to bring it home.
We will begin a new novel this week called There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom. All the reading is done in class, but if you child is out they will need to read what they miss at home. Vocab for the week...timid, modest, auditorium, assure, assert, anguish, shrug, reluctant, corridor, counselor, flabbergast, intimidate, oppressor, strewn,tolerate..test will be Friday.

SS- We will work on finishing chapter 4 on Eygpt. Friday the students will work on a study guide. The test will be Friday of next week. We will work on a project in class next week and the students will be given a rubric on Monday of next week. This will be done in class.
