7th
ELA- We are reading When Zachary Beaver Came to Town in class. There is no vocab for Mrs. Collins class this week. We will be writing this week on "Explain what you would do with a secret compartment that you found hidden in the back of your closet"

SS- test on Tuesday (Jan28) on Imperialism.  Study guide was given today.

6th
ELA-We are reading There's a Boy in the Girls Bathroom in class. There is no vocab for Mrs. Collins class.

SS- Test on chapter 9 on Friday. A study guide was given today(Tuesday).

Week of Jan13-15

Monday and Tuesday are regular days. Wednesday is a 1/2 day. Thursday, Friday, and Monday20th are holidays. The end of the nine weeks is Wednesday Jan 15th. Please encourage you child to make-up any work that they are missing.

6th SS- finishing up chapter 9. We will do a study guide on chapter 9 when we return after the break on Jan 21st.

Dec 2-6

 Barrier Island trip DEC 9-11, leaving at 7:15am on Monday and returning on Wed DEC 11th. Be sure to bring old clothes and shoes. We will be getting in the mud at some point.

Tuesday of next week will be sneak-a-snack for 6th and 7th graders. Monday we will finish up any projects and do activities on Thanksgiving.

7th ELA ~
Mrs. Collins' class does not have vocabulary words this week. Mrs. West's class has a list of stems that are to be tested on Friday. We will continue to read The Man Who Loved Clowns (Chapters 8-16).

7th SS ~
Students will have a vocabulary test on Industrialism words Tuesday (11/5).  The list was given last Wednesday.  Study guides for Industrialism was given today with the test being this Friday. 

6th ELA ~
Vocabulary list for Chapters 7-15 were given today.  Test will be Friday. If your child is attending the FCA retreat this weekend, the test will be taken on Thursday. We will continue to read Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key (chapters 5-12)  Comprehension tests will be given on Ch 5-8 (Tuesday) and Ch 9-12 (Friday).

6th SS ~
We will continue studying about Ancient India.  Study guide for upcoming chapter test will be given Wednesday.  The test will be next Tuesday (11/12).

Make-up pictures will be on Nov 7th
Conferences will be held next week for the time you signed up for. If you are coming on Thursday Oct 31st from 2:30-5:15, we will be in the Library.

ELA-no vocab for Collins class, West class vocab quiz on Friday. We have finished Among the Hidden and will begin The Man Who Loved Clowns.

7th SS- The students were given a study guide on Friday of last week and the test  will be on Friday of this week. It is on the Science, French, and American Revolution.


6th
ELA-no vocab for Collins class, West class vocab quiz on Friday. We have finished Egypt Game and will begin the novel Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key.

SS-We have finished the chapter on Ancient India and the test will be Friday of this week. A study guide was given on Monday.
