7th ELA-7th grade will be reading the The Outsiders. This week we will read chapters 1-3. The students are allowed to bring the novel home each day, but have to bring it back to class so they can read along with the class. Vocab for the week- acquired, clammy, disgrace, gingerly, glaring, incidentally, incredulous, irresistibly, nonchalantly, rarities, reckless, roguishly, sagely, sarcastically, sensitive, stalked, stocky, sympathetic, unfathomable....test will be Friday.
7th SS- We are studying Early European Explorers. The students were given a sheet on a scrap book they will be going this nineweeks. They have twenty people they have to showcase. It is due on October 6th.
6th ELA- 6th grade will be reading Maniac Magee. We will read chapters 1-21 this week. Students can bring the book home each day provided they bring back to school each day. Vocab for the week -legacy, trestle, theory, obvious,suffice, infamous, mirage, samaritan, phantom, stupefied, pandemonium, finichy...test will be Friday.
6thSS- We have read chapter 1 on Uncovering the Past. The students worked on a study guide today and will have a test on chapter 1 Thursday.
