Pictures will be taking on March 18th. You have to prepay to get your picture made. If you are not fully satisfied you will get a refund.
Field Trip for 6th and 7th grade on March 16th to Roper Mountain and eat at the Haywood Mall food court. Only those that paid their money by March 4th will be allowed to go.(If you are going on this trip remember to bring money for lunch)

ELA-We are still reading the Witch of Blackbird Pond. Please encourage your student to pay attention while this book is being read in class. This is a difficult book for some and they will have test after every few chapters. We will be reading chapters 5-8 this week.
Vocabulary:notorious, pompous, hypocrite, commotion, allegiance, abrupt, damask, conspicuous...test will be Friday.
SS- We are finishing up WWI and its aftermath. This week also we will begin studying the Great Depression and the New Deal. We will be using their history book and their SC reinforcement guide.
6th
ELA-vocab for the week...slanderous, apprehensive, disarray, disdain, bilge, brig, malicious, grotesque, tranquility, congenial, surveillance, obnoxious, doldrums, condone, adversity...test will be Friday
We are reading chapters 5-8 in True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle . Please encourage you student to pay attention in class while this novel is being read. This is a very difficult novel to understand and the vocabulary is extremely difficult also. We will have a quiz on the chapters read this week.
SS- We will begin chapter 17 Early Americas. We will read each section, take a quiz, and do the study guide for a grade on Thursday or Friday.
